Jorge Gonzalez is a diamond in the rough, cut from the concrete of the street, to empower the heart of the community. He is a teacher, Babalawo (Practitioner of Traditional Yoruba culture), mentor, husband, father, son, student, & entrepreneur.

His past is affected by years of heartache, death, and loss. However, his story goes on.  His life has turned into triumph empowering and strengthening youth and families in his community, as he works with Latino Leadership Council, Evolve You Foundation, other nonprofit organizations, and county partners.

He has traveled to Nigeria and Dahome with his Oluwo, teacher, mentor, and father figure, Chief Baba Yagbe Awolowo Onilu, to further his studies in traditional Yoruba culture and faith.

Among his other disciplines he currently obtains four AS degrees and is continuing his education at Sacramento State as a business major.  He aspires to continue to grow in all aspects of his life, reaching out to touch as many lives possible on his journey.
